- What is your position on “The Hiller”?
Assistant Editor-in-Chief and News Editor.
- Why did you become a part of the staff and how long have you been on it?
I became a part of the staff because of my friend and past staff member Rachel Chase.
- Which article was your favorite and why?
I would say my first favorite was my article titled “Trinity students prepare for Homecoming dance with week of activities” which was my first ever article and it was really fun to write about. This year, my favorite was my article titled “Trinity football team ‘heats up’ 2023 football season” because it was one of my best-written articles and I enjoyed writing it; it’s very sentimental to me.
- How has being a part of “The Hiller” impacted you?
I’ve gotten to talk to a lot of new people and I’ve made a lot of really good friends. It has been one of my favorite parts of high school.
- What is your favorite memory of “The Hiller” throughout your time on staff?
Probably all of our holiday parties.
- What have you learned from journalism?
Having a deadline for things has really helped me. Being surrounded by people who are hard-working has also helped me improve my own work ethic and time management.
- What will you miss most about journalism?
Having a fun relaxed period in my day and all of my best friends I’ve made.
- What is your best word of advice for the staff members?
Stick together and help each other out because everyone will need something at some point. Everyone works better together.
- How many red pens do you think Mrs. O’Lare has used when grading your articles?
One.
- Do you have anything else to add/final words to the staff members?
Enjoy every moment and make this your creative outlet. Be kind to everybody.
