With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, giving is, well, a given. Whether it be gifts, or volunteering, everyone involved appreciates it. Keeping this in mind, there are many great volunteer opportunities in the Washington community and in the high school.

For example, the Salvation Army has quite the lineup of ways to give back to the community. The following are just a few opportunities. If interested, call 724-225-5740.

  • Bell Ringers are needed for two or more hours outside of local stores Tuesdays-Saturdays, November 13-24. Dial ext. 113 for more information.

  • December 15 – Set the Salvation Army Freedom Center gym up from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
