Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy improves community
The Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy is a club centered around what it means to be a leader.
To get into the club, students have to fill out an application that is handed out by the guidance department. The application has many different questions including open endeds about leadership and past experience.
Then, students work on two different projects, one in the spring and one in the winter. This year, the club used their homeroom meetings to plan for the toiletry drive for their winter project. They split into groups for advertising, field trip preparation, and drive planning. For their winter trip, they went to the City Mission and dropped off the supplies they collected for the drive. Then, they got a tour of the City Mission and served food for the community during two school days.
“Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy has helped me grow as a person through the community,” says Senior Jake Snyder.
