Trinity High School is home to dozens of outstanding students, but one student has particularly stood out. Junior Vittoria Emerich has recently received the honor of being named a 2026 Carson Scholar.
“It feels amazing to have my hard work in academics and in the community start to pay off,” comments Emerich.
The Carson Scholarship is specifically designed for students who excel academically and are active in their surrounding community. Emerich matches this description perfectly, currently taking 5 AP classes as well as earning hundreds of community service hours at the Washington Hospital. Emerich is immersed in the culture of the hospital, doing tasks from beside service to meal delivery.
Within the high school, she also participates in community service through student council, the student advisory panel and peer jury.
On top of her academic and social success, Emerich is also a dedicated multi-sport athlete. She participates in both tennis and basketball, serving as team captain in both sports. She qualified for the WPIAL championship in tennis, and was a part of the Trinity girls’ basketball team’s first PIAA win in six years. Emerich has been an amazing role model to younger girls in both sports, volunteering for various youth camps in both sports as well.
Emerich plans to use this scholarship money toward trgxher college education, and would like to thank all of the people who supported her, saying, “I’m just extremely grateful for my teachers and my family for always pushing me to be my best and thankful that my hard work is finally paying off.”
With all of her accomplishments, it is clear that Emerich is beyond deserving of the 2026 Carson Scholarship.
