I am proud to nominate Ivy Zheng for THS Student of the Month. She is an exceptional young woman, and this recognition is a well-deserved testament to her dedication, leadership, and positive influence within our school community.
Ivy is an exemplary student who is deeply committed to academic excellence. Her grades reflect her strong work ethic and her determination to be the very best she can be. She consistently produces work that exceeds expectations, always striving for both achievement and personal growth.
I have had the pleasure of teaching Ivy in Spanish for two years: Spanish 2 and Spanish 5. I am continually impressed by her command of the language and her remarkable ability to recall and apply what she has learned. Ivy does not simply want to know “what it is”; she genuinely seeks to understand “why it is,” demonstrating intellectual curiosity and depth of thought.
Ivy is highly involved in the Trinity High School community. She has served as Treasurer of the Spanish Club and as Director of Education for the Future Teachers of America Club. In addition, she participates in tennis, track and field, marching band, and the school musical. Her dedication to the Trinity Hiller family is exceptional. She serves as a role model for students who want to get involved but may not yet know how to take that first step.
Her academic accomplishments are equally impressive. Ivy has been recognized through the National First-Generation Recognition Program, earned first place at both the regional and state levels of PJAS, and participated in the Youth Leadership Consortium at Princeton. She has also maintained Honor Roll status throughout her high school career.
Ivy Zheng is not only a dedicated student but also a committed member of the Washington community. Through both her employment and volunteer work, she demonstrates responsibility, integrity, and a continued pursuit of excellence. It is truly an honor to nominate such an outstanding young woman for Student of the Month.
