I am pleased to nominate Grace Cessna for THS Student of the Month. I have had the privilege of working with Grace in my Honors Algebra 2 course during her sophomore year, as well as in the Future Teachers of America Club, where I serve as advisor. From the classroom to extracurricular activities, Grace consistently demonstrates not only academic excellence but also strong leadership, resilience, and compassion.
Throughout her time in my class, Grace maintained an impressive A average, showcasing a deep understanding of the material and exceptional problem-solving skills. She never missed an assignment, and the quality of her work was consistently outstanding. Whether completing daily homework or tackling major projects, Grace’s thoughtful approach minimized careless errors and reflected her desire to truly master the material. She was never content with simply earning a good grade; she wanted to understand the “why” behind each concept. Her intellectual curiosity and determination raised the level of discussion in class and inspired her peers to think more deeply.
Beyond the classroom, Grace has distinguished herself as a leader and active contributor to her school community. She is a committed member of the National Honor Society, Best Buddies, and SADD, where she models service, kindness, and integrity. She has also taken on significant leadership roles as President of both the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the Future Teachers of America (FTA). In these roles, she has organized initiatives, supported her peers, and exemplified what it means to be a responsible and inspiring leader. Balancing rigorous academics with leadership and service, Grace demonstrates outstanding time management, perseverance, and dedication.
What sets Grace apart most, however, is her character. She embodies resilience, compassion, and an unwavering positive spirit. After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of her mother, Grace has shown remarkable strength, continuing to excel academically while uplifting those around her with kindness and encouragement. Her courage and perseverance make her not only an exceptional student but also a role model for her peers.
In conclusion, I am proud to recommend Grace Cessna for Student of the Month. Her academic excellence, leadership, resilience, and compassion make her a truly deserving candidate.
