It is with great honor that I nominate Dresden Bouman for THS Student of the Month for March.
Dresden is a four-year member of the choir. She has been in Concert Choir and is currently in her third year of the auditioned Chamber Choir. She is President of the Chamber Choir, Treasurer of Tri-M, and an example of hard work and dedication to her peers. She has earned several auditioned solos. She is also a member of Tri-M music honor society and the Theatre Club. She has been the stage manager for the middle school musical the last four years.
Dresden has flourished on the stage as well. She played the role of Grandma Addams last year and is currently one of the lead roles in this year’s musical The Sound of Music, playing the part of Liesl Von Trapp. She is always the first to help out, the first to arrive, and always one of the last to leave, making sure everything is in its place. She is a true student leader.
In addition to her stellar choir work and beautiful voice, she is an exemplary student. She currently serves in the role of student body secretary. She has been on the honor roll all four years of high school. While achieving her academic and musical success, Dresden has worked at several jobs and was a member of the homecoming court.
Dresden is very active in the school newspaper serving as its Media Editor as well as the Arts and Entertainment Editor. She was instrumental in starting the podcast through the newspaper. She is a member of the Washington Alliance Youth Group as a member of the Washington Alliance Church.
I believe Dresden is more than worthy of this honor.
Nominated by Mr. Matt Komula.
