What are Trinity Change Makers? Change Makers is a new club that was recently founded to spread awareness about those with disabilities. This club was founded by Freshman Lucas Price who wanted to share his point of view and talk about the obstacles he faces daily. Price has many goals for his club, including helping others understand disabilities and making an impact in the school community.
The club has been a huge hit so far. They recently had their first meeting on October 23, 2025, and more students have been reaching out and showing interest in joining the Change Makers; in fact, they currently have 70 members.
Freshman Savannah Sebitich mentioned, “Yes, I see expansion. We’ve gained 20 people since the last meeting, and we have gained sponsors.”
Sebitich acts as the secretary and takes pride in her participation. She goes above and beyond to get more students involved in the club and is always willing to help more join.
Change Makers had its first fundraiser not too long ago, on October 31, which was a basket raffle. This took place at the playoff football game and was a huge success, as they had 35 baskets donated to the raffle. More activities and fundraisers are in the works for the future, as they are currently working on making a drink at the Hiller Cafe with Mrs. Giorgi.
The board is made up of the following: President Price, Vice President Rosie Orr, Secretary Sebitich, Treasurer Chloe Morgan and Social Media Manager Barry Sebitich. The club advisor is Mrs. Shuba, who helps coordinate all meetings, fundraisers and activities.
Not only do the board members all play huge roles in this club, but they have all been impacted in their own ways by becoming part of this group.
Sophomore Addison Miklic stated, “I was influenced to join this club because the group involves so much teamwork, and it’s a good bunch of people working together.”
Price has had the privilege to work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which partners with the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. This opportunity allows big possibilities for their club as
A representative from the MDA is coming to speak at one of the club meetings in the near future.
Anyone interested in making a change in the community, maybe the Change Makers is the perfect choice, as they are always welcoming new members.
