Nothing brings people together like good ol’ fashioned Friday Night Football, and Trinity High School is no different. Each week, the lights go on, the players take the field, the student section shows out in support and the coaches prepare to lead the team to victory. It’s a time-honored tradition that has stood the test of time because of its importance to the wider Trinity community.
Despite a demanding early schedule, the Hillers aren’t backing down. There is absolutely no lack of effort from the team and the players are determined to keep their heads up and continue to play their best every week.
One of the strongest advantages the Hillers have over other teams is their incredibly close bond and willingness to do whatever it takes to make their school proud. Led by long-term friends and Senior Captains Anthony Giorgi, David Gill and Jonah Williamson, the team is a close-knit group with a shared commitment to the process of football. No matter what challenges they face, they face them head on, together.
This dedication is commended by many within the Trinity community, with Trinity High School football coach and Assistant Principal, Mr. Knause, adding, “I’m proud of the players for their commitment. They show up everyday; they prepare more than they play. They give us the best versions of themselves, no excuses.”
The majority of Trinity students share this sentiment, which is reflected in the packed student section every Friday night. Whether they’re football fans or not, students gather to cheer on the team and show some Hiller pride.
Senior Behr Bruckner loves to attend the games: “I’m a big football fan so I like watching the games and getting rowdy in the student section with my friends.”
This explosive excitement over attending a Friday night football game doesn’t just boost the morale of the fans. In fact, for the players down on the field, having the support of their family, friends and classmates can often be the push they need to secure a win.
“Having the student section at the games feels hugely supportive. Being able to look up in the stands and see a packed group of people there for us can really help us out mentally during a game,” Giorgi elaborates.
Be sure to show out and support the Hillers this season! Catch them at the homecoming game on October 3, 2025, at the Hill!
