It is with great enthusiasm that I nominate Micha Mariana for the Student of the Month recognition for September. Micha is a student whose compassion, intellect, and leadership set her apart as one of the most outstanding members of the Class of 2026.
In the classroom, Micha demonstrates curiosity, diligence, and depth of thought. She is consistently well-prepared and engaged, offering insightful contributions in discussions and approaching assignments with care and integrity. Her success in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science and Speech and Debate, where she has earned state-level recognition and regional first place in Oratory, reflects her aptitude for research, analysis, and communication.
Beyond academics, Micha is a model of service and leadership. She is the founder and president of Trinity’s Make-A-Wish Council, the first of its kind in our region, and actively leads initiatives in Student Council, National Honor Society, Friends of Rachel Club, the VING Project, and numerous community events. As a captain on the lacrosse team, she balances athletics, academics, and service, embodying excellence in all she does.
What makes Micha most deserving of this recognition, however, is her kindness. Her empathy is not performative; it is her default. Whether she’s supporting a service initiative, encouraging elementary students with kindness activities, writing a VING proposal, or simply showing up with a smile and a listening ear, she models the ripple effect of compassion.
Micha represents the very best of Trinity: a leader, a scholar, and above all, a kindhearted young woman who inspires those around her. She exemplifies the qualities we hope to nurture in all students, and I cannot think of a more deserving candidate for our first Student of the Month recognition of the year.
