It is with great enthusiasm that we nominate Sienna Heasley for THS Student of the Month. Sienna exemplifies the very best of what it means to be a well-rounded, passionate, and dedicated student. She is a standout in both the music and art departments, and her leadership, kindness, academic achievement, and commitment to excellence make her an ideal candidate for this recognition.

Sienna is a vital member of the music department. She plays in the percussion section of both the concert and marching bands and is currently enrolled in AP Music Theory. She is also an active member of the TRI-M Music Honor Society, demonstrating her dedication to both the academic and performance aspects of music. In addition, she has served for the past three years as the Marketing Director for the school musical, where she has recruited and mentored other students to help produce professional-grade promotional materials. Her ability to collaborate and lead is second to none. Most recently, Sienna volunteered to assist with the design of the music department website. Without hesitation, she jumped in and quickly transformed the site with her design sensibilities and technical skills. Her willingness to help, coupled with her ability to make a significant impact in a short amount of time, speaks volumes about her character and capabilities.

Sienna’s talents extend beyond music; she is an accomplished artist whose work consistently receives national recognition, particularly from the prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She currently serves as the President of the National Art Honor Society and is a cornerstone of upper-level art classes; she even elected to take AP Art online! She has also designed and illustrated the artwork for our high school’s literary journal for the last four years. Her artwork is not only exquisite but also reflective of her deep curiosity and commitment to refining her craft. She approaches every project with excitement, consistently pushing the boundaries of her creativity. 

Beyond her artistic talents, Sienna is kind, motivated, and generous with her time and friendship. She brings positivity and collaboration to every group she is part of, and her peers respect her for both her talent and her willingness to lend a hand. Her creativity, leadership, and spirit make her a truly exceptional student who is worthy of the distinction of THS Student of the Month.
