I am pleased to nominate Sylvia Stoy for THS Student of the Month. I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Sylvia for the past two years, both in the classroom and beyond, and I can confidently say she is one of the most driven and capable students I have encountered. She embodies energy, enthusiasm, and respect, consistently setting a high standard for herself and those around her.
Sylvia’s aptitude for accounting and technology is evident in her academic achievements and her willingness to support her peers through cooperative learning. She naturally takes on a leadership role, guiding classmates through complex concepts with patience and clarity. Despite a rigorous course load and numerous extracurricular commitments, Sylvia has maintained top-tier performance, earning A averages in Accounting I and II and excelling in advanced coursework, including Accounting III (Excel emphasis) and Accounting IV. Her enrollment in the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) program in Accounting Technology further highlights her dedication to mastering her field.
Beyond the classroom, Sylvia is a standout leader. As an active Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) member, she has already distinguished herself as a state qualifier in Business Communications (2025) and a member of the Business National Honor Society. Her commitment to leadership and excellence was nationally recognized when she won the overall prize for The Penguins Leadership Locker Room Program, a testament to her outstanding work ethic, communication skills, and ability to inspire others.
Sylvia is the kind of student who gives 100% in everything she does. Her work habits, problem-solving abilities, and technological skills are truly exceptional, and I do not doubt that she will continue to excel in her future academic and professional endeavors. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Sylvia Stoy for THS Student of the Month for April.
