Trinity’s Friday night football games are a centerpiece of the student’s and parent’s school spirit. Countless positive aspects make everyone enjoy their time at the game, and though some may not know what to do, many people can explain the best course of action for the game. Below is a guide to the best Friday Night Lights experience anyone can hope for.
Before the kick-off of the football game, the band begins pregame. For pregame, they perform the Alma Mater and the Star-Spangled Banner while the cheerleaders perform. The football players will enter the field to start practicing. The pregame starts at 6:40 p.m., and kickoff starts at 7:00 p.m. Most recommend arriving at the stadium at around 6:30 p.m. because traffic can delay arrival times. A student should arrive around 5:30 p.m. to get the best seat in the student section and have more time with their friends.
Finding the best place to park at a big event, especially Friday football games, is a struggle for many people. Most people park at the Middle School since the shuttle bus is no longer in service. If someone were looking to get the closest spot, they should show up as early as possible. The lower lot is also available to those who need it.
Those who want a view even to both sides, sit in the center by the press box, either at the top or the middle. For anyone handicapped, there are accessible areas for wheelchairs or seats that don’t require stair climbing. Trinity students are highly recommended to sit in the student section and follow the themes to show school spirit and pride. The best student section seats are in the front, but normally it goes by grade, with seniors in the front rows. People who sit in the student section can vouch for the amount of fun everyone always has with their friends and peers.
During halftime, visit the concession stands to get food and drinks while watching the band perform! Many people like the buffalo chicken dip, pizza, or hot chocolate, those who aren’t feeling a hot drink can get a soda.
When going to the football game, school spirit is always important. For adults, wearing anything Trinity blue is appreciated. For students, the best way to show spirit is by following the spirit themes.
Senior Angela Pan suggests that the “best way to show school spirit is by showing out for spirit days! You can find the themes on the Hiller Hooligans Instagram page.”
To be prepared for unexpected weather, wear a hat for rain or sun, and bring a jacket if it gets chilly.
Senior EJ Polito says, “I always try and wear a hat that matches the theme in case it rains and I usually wear something over a t-shirt in case it gets cold.”
Be sure to show out at the Homecoming game on September 27, 2024! Everyone loves to go to the Homecoming game because the court is announced and there is a ceremony where a queen is crowned. The stands will be packed so make sure to arrive early to get a good seat!
Senior Rylie Armstrong is a big part of the student section saying, “Fill the stands for the Homecoming game next Friday!! Lets go, Hillers!”
