• What is your position on “The Hiller”?

I am a staff writer. 

• How long have you been on staff and why did you join?

I have been on staff for one year, and I joined because I always read the articles last year and thought it looked really fun to be a part of.

• What has been your favorite article you’ve written and why?

My favorite article has been my article on rating pizza restaurants in Washington titled “Journeying through slices of Washington.” It let me get out in the community and it was really fun to try all of the pizzas.  

• What are your plans after graduation? 

After graduation I plan to attend college and pursue a music education degree and eventually become a music teacher. 

• What will you miss most about “The Hiller”?

I will miss being in class with all of my friends and seeing my work online for everyone to read.

• What is the most important lesson you have learned from being in journalism?

I have learned that every topic is interesting no matter what it is, you just have to be open-minded and always prepared for changes. 

• What is your favorite memory while writing for “The Hiller”?

My favorite memory is probably the Christmas party that we had with all of our snacks and games.

• How many red pens do you think Mrs. O’Lare has gone through grading your articles?

It’s hard to say since this is only my first year. But I’ve had my fair share of red ink so probably at least one whole pen. 

• How has Mrs. O’Lare impacted/inspired you while writing for “The Hiller”?

Mrs. O’Lare is extremely calm all the time, even when there are problems. She makes me want to do better and I just want to make her proud because I really do value her opinion. 

• What is your favorite Trinity lunch meal?

Anything buffalo chicken related. Wraps, strombolis, mac and cheese, you name it, I’m buying on buffalo chicken days. 

• Anything you would like to add? Anything you would like to say to the rest of the staff? 

Thank you for making this one of my favorite classes of my high school experience, I’m going to miss you all so much!!
