Student of the Month: October – Mason Kraeer

It is my pleasure to nominate Mason Kraeer for THS Student of the Month for October. He has been an Agriculture Education student and the current chaplain of the Trinity FFA. I have known Mason for four years. During that time, I have come to know him as an exceptional student in that he strives to achieve only the highest of any expectations in the class as well as the FFA Organization.

He is a great role model to his peers. Moreover, Mason’s abilities in carpentry are impeccable. Mason has received several awards while in FFA, including the Golden Hammer Award, Greenhand Award, and Chapter Degree Award. He has participated in several leadership activities and continues to work productively toward earning the FFA Keystone Degree which is the highest honor an FFA member can achieve in Pennsylvania FFA. Mason is a rare type of student who combines exceptional natural ability with a willingness and eagerness to learn both in school and on his family farm. Mason plays a vital role in the success of his family farm, The Kraeer Farm. He works hard on the farm by putting in the hay, maintaining farm upkeep, and sustaining needed maintenance. Mason successfully balances outstanding academics, athletics, and work ethic with grace and ease. He always has a smile on his face and is respectful to his teachers, his coaches, and his peers; it is clear to me that this young man, Mason Kraeer, is an exceptional candidate for THS Student of the Month.

It is my pleasure to nominate Mason Kraeer for THS Student of the Month for October. Mason Kraeer is an outstanding Senior who is a role model to all. He has been a Trinity student since elementary school, and blue and white runs through his blood. Whether he is applying his brain or his brawn, Mason is giving his best effort with zero excuses. When transitioning from class to class, you will see Mason talking with peers, smiling, and greeting the teachers in the halls. He emits positive energy that is contagious to all that are with him and draws others toward him. Mason is the definition of a student-athlete. He is always in season but still keeps up with his studies. Mason is a Varsity letter winner and captain of the football team where he starts on both the offensive and defensive lines. He has also received a Varsity letter in wrestling, track and field, and rifle, and will continue to participate in these sports during his Senior year where he is likely to receive more letters and leadership roles. Mason had an injury in the fall of 2021, but he didn’t let that keep him down. He scooted through the halls, at a very fast rate of speed, and kept his head up with recovery in mind. Mason overcame the injury and was able to return stronger and more determined than ever. Mason also spends a lot of time in his agricultural lifestyle and in carpentry. He is active in the FFA where he received his jacket, as well as the Golden Hammer for his achievements and craftsmanship. Mason works hard on his family farm and takes pride in providing a wholesome, high-quality product. His family values and morals are evident in every task he undertakes and have molded his character to be that person you want your child to be friends with. Clearly, Mason Kraeer is more than deserving of being named THS Student of the Month.
