Dive into Fall with Starbucks new Pumpkin Spice Latte
There has been some controversy on the new Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. The Pumpkin Spice Latte has been sold and loved for years. In 2022, Starbucks decided to use real pumpkins in their syrup instead of the regular pumpkin spice syrup in their drinks this year.
According to Hannah Winkelman, who has worked at Starbucks for a little over a year, the Pumpkin Spice latte only consists of pumpkin, espresso and milk.
Winkelman explained that the pumpkin spice latte is not difficult to make. They now use real pumpkin in their lattes this year but overall the way to make a pumpkin spice latte is very similar.
Even though not a lot was modified, the drink still gives off a different flavor. There is a slightly stronger taste with a mixture of pumpkin pie.
Personally, I liked this year’s pumpkin spice latte a lot more. It still has that familiar taste of fall but has an interesting new twist.
The Pumpkin Spice latte is a huge drink during the fall and they get enough sales from the Pumpkin Spice latte that if they wanted to sell it year-round instead of just seasonal they would be able to.
“We go through a lot of Pumpkin spice lattes. Everyone comes for it,” Winkelman states.
To make this drink even better there are only 75 milligrams of caffeine in it, which is under the recommended 135 milligrams a day. This leaves room for more caffeine intake throughout the day.
I would definitely recommend the Pumpkin Spice latte, especially if you’re a pumpkin person. It is definitely affordable with a venti(large size) costing only $5.85, which is a great price for something that really gets you in the mood for those upcoming fall months.
Winkelman is also a fan of the Pumpkin Spice latte and recommends trying it as a frappuccino. She is one for cold coffee and thinks the frappuccino still gives off an amazing flavor to spice up your fall season.
I would say the Pumpkin Spice latte is definitely the fall drink of the year. Just smelling and tasting the pumpkin makes you feel that fall feeling of the breeze, sweaters and changing leaves.
