1.What is your current position on “The Hiller” staff?

Staff writer.

2. How long have you been on staff and why did you join?

One year. Rachel [Chase] encouraged me to join as a creative outlet.

3. What will you miss most about “The Hiller”?

I’ll miss the connections that I’ve made with the people in it because now I’m closer with people I wouldn’t otherwise have known as well.

4. Do you have a favorite article you wrote and why?

The bathroom one. It was just fun to write and not as hectic [as some other articles].

5. What do you think is the most important thing you have learned from your time on staff and why?

People really don’t check their email all that much, so you really have to be persistent and check early and often.

6. What advice would you give to underclassman who are interested in exploring journalism or joining “The Hiller” staff?

If you really really like writing, I would encourage you to join the staff.

7. Do you have any plans for after graduation?

Yes. I’m going to [the University of] Pittsburgh for chemistry.

8. What book or series had the largest impact on you growing up and why?

I would say that “Harry Potter” had the largest impact on me because I read it a lot. I don’t really know why, but it really interested me and I’ve read the series like five times.

9. Anything you’d like to add?

It’s a great day to almost not be a Hiller anymore!
