1.What is your current position on “The Hiller” staff?

I am a staff writer.

2. How long have you been on staff and why did you join?

This is the first year, and Mrs. Berty encouraged me to join because I like writing.

3. What is your favorite memory from your time on staff and why?

When we have laughs during class and talked or hung out .

4. What will you miss most about “The Hiller”?

Just talking with everyone and making a connection with everyone.

5. Do you have a favorite article you wrote and why?

My alopecia one because it sheds more light on it, and I know it’s not talked about much.

6. What do you think is the most important thing you have learned from your time on staff and why?

It’s okay to talk and open up. In the past I have not been able to do this, and I notice that if I talk more I can open up and actually be myself.

7. What advice would you give to underclassman who are interested in exploring journalism or joining “The Hiller” staff?

Just talk with everyone who’s in the newspaper or journalism classes and follow your heart for it.

8. Do you have any plans for after graduation?

I’m going to Cal U [California University of Pennsylvania] in the fall for social defiance.

9. Is there a literary character or author that you view as a role model and why?

Cassandra Clare [author of the “Shadowhunter” series] because she overcame challenges and that’s what I try to do. She’s helped me to work with my challenges through reading her books. I know she has helped a lot of young adults to read more because of the “Shadowhunter” books, too.
