Do you like writing poetry? Is art class your favorite part of the day? If so, you should consider entering the 2021 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is an organization that seeks to promote artistic expression among students in grades seven through twelve. There are more than 25 categories of art and writing such as photography, digital media, poetry and journalism that students can submit their entries to. Entries are judged first at the regional level, and qualifying submissions advance to the national adjudication. 

This year, submissions in our region are open from now until December 15, 2020(art) and January 6, 2021(writing). To submit a work, students must first create an account at https://ors.artandwriting.org/Login then begin the application process and finally upload any work. Results will be announced by the start of February 2021.
