Running back Najee Harris was recently recognized as NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month, he is proving himself and becoming a vital asset to the team.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most popular NFL teams in the country. So far, the Steelers have won five out of the eight games they have played this season and tied once with the Detroit Lions. Typically, an NFL team will play 17 games a season, nine at home, and eight away.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the American Football Conference North and are currently ranked 2nd in their conference standings behind the Baltimore Ravens, and in front of the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Some of the leading players for the Steelers are Ben Roethlisberger and Najee Harris.

Mike Tomlin is the head coach of the Steelers, and he has coached them for 14 years. This gives him the third-longest tenure of any active NFL coach. The team is currently owned by Art Rooney II. The Steelers have been under continuous ownership of the Rooney family since 1933.

Located in the North Shore neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Heinz Field is home to the Steelers. It is also where the Pittsburgh Panthers college football team plays.

Construction on the field began in 1999. As part of a 20 year partnership with the Heinz Company, the Steelers new stadium was named Heinz Field. The Steelers made their debut at Heinz Field on October 7, 2001, when they played the Cincinnati Bengals.

Prior to one of the recent games against the Cleveland Browns, the Steelers made several roster moves coming out of their bye week to help prepare for their next game against the Lions. The activation of Anthony McFarland Jr. to the 53-man roster was one of those changes. McFarland was removed from the injury reserve, and in order to make room for McFarland, the Steelers finally placed defensive tackle Carlos Davis on the Reserve/Injured List after missing the last five games yet still taking up a spot on the roster.

Due to gaining a running back and losing a defensive tackle on the active roster, the Steelers have made two corresponding moves to their practice squad in order to balance out their numbers, they signed defensive tackle Chris Slayton to the practice squad and released running back Jaylen Samuels from the practice squad.

The Steelers have made it to the Superbowl a total of eight times, and have won six of them in 1975, 1976, 1979, 1980, 2006 and 2009. Unfortunately, the Steelers are not projected to make the playoffs this year.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a very loved team in the city as well as all across the country. To watch the upcoming game, the Steelers play this Sunday, November 28, against the Cincinnati Bengals at 1:00 p.m in Cincinnati.
