The Trinity varsity golf team was in the spotlight for Trinity athletics and had many accomplishments this season. The boys and girl’s team is coached by Ron Dami and Trinity’s own Mr. Marino.

Their season ended two weeks ago, with a 8-5 varsity season under their belt. Three members of the team, Elizabeth Herrnberger, Milan Molinari, and Andrew Ciotto had the chance to compete in WPIALS this year.

Elizabeth Herrnberger, a senior and four year golf team member stated, “our biggest challenge is all the players getting a consistent score during each match.”

Members of the team explained that Peters Township and Upper St. Clair are two of the more challenging teams they play during the season. They played Peters Township on August 29 and  Upper St. Clair on September 12, unfortunately losing to both schools.

Noah Johnson, a senior and a two year Trinity golf player expressed, “the best way to improve is to go to the driving range and practice as much as you can.”

The golf team practices on Sundays at Lone Pine Country Club and on their own throughout the week.

The golf team is looking to expand and become an experienced team.

“Tryout for the golf team! We always need new players.” Herrnbereger encouraged.
