Imagine going back to the year 2008 and screaming the lyrics to “Burnin’ Up” by the Jonas Brothers. Oh, what simple times. Unfortunately, all good times must come to an end. October 29, 2013, was the day that broke millions of hearts. When they broke up, they promised their fans a comeback will happen in the future, maybe the year 3000? Fans understood that they wanted to branch out and pursue solo careers, which made the band grateful for their amazing fan base.

Senior Camryn Kirschner said, “I was sad they broke up because I liked their songs and I was a huge fan of ‘Camp Rock.’”

The Jonas Brothers were a band of three brothers: Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas. They instantly became popular by middle and high schoolers. A few of their hit songs are “Year 3000,” “Lovebug,” “Burnin’ Up,” “Paranoid” and “S.O.S.” They were only teenagers who had a passion for music and felt the need to share it. What the trio did not expect was to become international pop stars. The teen heartthrobs not only have amazing voices, but were (and still are) charming boys who love their fans.

Senior Mykalyn Koot said, “My favorite songs are ‘Burnin’ Up,’ ‘When You Look Me In the Eyes’ and ‘BB Good.’”

At the end of February 2019, fans noticed that a picture was posted of them on their Instagram account, @jonasbrothers. The caption gave away that they were coming out with a new song, “Sucker,” that was supposed to released at midnight on March 1, 2019. In the multiple interviews they have been in since releasing the song, the same question was asked every time: What made you guys get back together? Nick Jonas revealed that they filmed a documentary that shows their time as a band, the release date being unknown. The short film was supposed to be about their lives as solo artists, but their chemistry together as a band made them reunite. The trio were planning this for almost a year, and had trouble keeping the secret to themselves.

Junior Rae Lynn Simpson said, “Since One Direction cannot get back together, I guess I will stick with the Jonas Brothers for now.”

Fans are patiently waiting to see if the trio has other songs, possibly an album, releasing in the upcoming months. On behalf of all the fangirls, thank you for coming back. Finally, a little PSA to all boy bands that split: please get back together. Sincerely, all fangirls.
